NBA rookie power rankings: Dennis Smith Jr. cracks top five

Lonzo Ball isn’t a good NBA shooter, and that’s clouded the entire conversation around the Los Angeles Lakers’ rookie.   It’s never encouraging when a player admits he’s in his own head as Ball did, but it’s easy to see why. “It’s just in my head to be honest,” he told reporters after a loss to the Boston Celtics last week. “I know I can shoot the ball.” His two most frequent shots this season have come from inside of five feet and outside the three-point line.
